Green Card Approved Without Interview in 4 Months for Divorced Couple Who Gave Love a Second Chance!

Today, we share the success story of our client from Haiti who was airlifted to the United States by the U.S. Air Force after surviving a devastating earthquake in her country and a painful divorce.

Our client’s story began in 2003 in Haiti when she married her husband and had two children together.

However, their journey took a heartbreaking turn when the couple divorced in 2009, and her husband immigrated to the U.S.

In 2010, Haiti experienced a devastating historical earthquake that led many Haitians to flee their country.

Days after the earthquake, our client was airlifted to Florida by the U.S. Air Force with only her newborn baby in her arms.

She was now forced to start her life all over again and faced a difficult journey in the days ahead in her new country.

Thankfully, she was able to obtain Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which allowed her to have a legal status and work lawfully.

Her ex-husband had also moved on with his life by marrying another woman.

After several years of marriage, her ex-husband’s second marriage ended in divorce in 2017.

Four years later, she decided to give their love a second chance.

They remarried in January 2022, hoping to build a stable future together with their children.

Because her husband was now a U.S. Citizen, he was eligible to petition for his wife to become a Lawful Permanent Resident.

We meticulously gathered evidence of their genuine relationship, including joint financial documents, proof of shared residence, and letters of support.

In January 2024, we filed their Adjustment of Status case.

Our diligent efforts paid off quickly!

Just four months later, their case was approved by the National Benefits Center without an interview!

This story underscores the importance of proving a genuine marriage through comprehensive documentation and highlights that with dedication and the right legal support, achieving U.S. residency can be a swift and positive experience.
