Associate Attorney
Attorney Farah Spencer is a life-long immigrant advocate with extensive experience representing individuals in complex immigration matters. Her practice spans a wide range of cases, including family-based and employment-based immigration, asylum applications, and removal and deportation defense. She has also handled a high volume of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) applications.
Prior to joining McBean Law, Attorney Spencer worked as a Senior Associate at Cognizant Technology Solutions, an international IT and business consultancy. As a member of the in-house global mobility team, she served as a lead on the H-1B Request for Evidence (RFE) team, collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders, and addressed complex issues related to immigration and HR compliance.
A native of Chicago, Attorney Spencer is a volunteer attorney with the Pro Bono Network, an Illinois-based organization that helps low-income immigrants meet their legal needs. A first-generation Haitian American, she is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago and DePaul University College of Law.
