After 24 Years In The U.S., Former F1 Student Gets Green Card Through Marriage!

The client can finally go home to visit her family after being separated from them for 24 years.

She came to the U.S. on an F1 student visa in 1998. However, she dropped out of school less than a year later because she was unable to pay the tuition. In 2017, she met her husband at work, and they began dating in 2018. In 2019, they got married. This is the first marriage for both of them.

In April 2021, they had a consultation with Attorney McBean Pompy. They were nervous about whether the government would bring up the F1 issue and accuse her of fraud or misrepresentation. They hired the firm the same day of their consultation. Before we started the Adjustment of Status case, we assessed whether the client had committed fraud or misrepresentation.

The Lead Attorney on the file concluded that we should preempt this possible accusation from USCIS by including documentation showing that she attended school when she first arrived in the U.S. Our final packet to USCIS was almost 600 pages!

USCIS received our case on September 10, 2021We prepared the clients for their interviews.

On February 8, 2022, we appeared telephonically at their interview.

The case was approved the same day…LESS THAN 5 MONTHS AFTER WE FILED!

P.S. Success stories are based on real cases. However, each case is different, and past successes do not guarantee that all cases will have a similar result. Consult a licensed immigration lawyer to discuss your unique situation.
