We love bringing couples together in the US!
Clients met with us in February 2021 while they were living together in Singapore.
The US citizen husband petitioned for his wife, and his I-130 petition was approved.
However, they were concerned about the consular process and needed help navigating their case.
The foreign wife was born in Malaysia, and the National Visa Center (NVC) had sent her case to the US Embassy in Malaysia.
However, they wanted to change the embassy to Singapore.
We worked on their case and provided proof of the wife’s lawful status in Singapore.
Our request to change embassies was approved a couple of weeks later.
After obtaining a new case number, we submitted the client’s visa application and supporting documents in September 2021.
We also submitted proof of US domicile for the petitioner husband.
They also needed a co-sponsor, and we prepared that Affidavit of Support as well.
In March 2022, the case was documentarily qualified at the NVC.
In April 2022, our client was scheduled for an interview at the US embassy in Singapore.
However, the couple decided to place the process on hold for a year because they were not ready to leave Singapore.
A year later when they were ready, we prepared our client for her embassy interview.
On April 6, 2023, she was approved for her immigrant visa!
