Her Story
She entered the U.S. in 2000 on a B-1/B-2 visitor visa and overstayed her visa.
In 2024, she met her U.S. citizen husband on social media. Their relationship grew, and they got married in early 2025. They built their home together in Brooklyn, New York, even as her U.S. citizen spouse’s work required frequent travel to Texas.
In 2007, she was misled by someone who convinced her to apply for an amnesty program. She unknowingly committed fraud by applying for this program.
When she realized she had been deceived, she took action and reported the individual to the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.
