GOOD NEWS: K-1 Visa Approved

Another great testimony!

Clients met online over a game of pool in 2019. They struck up a long-distanced friendship and talked everyday through Facebook Messenger. This later turned into a romantic relationship.

In February of 2020, they met for the first time in person. Client came to the U.S. to spend time with her U.S. Citizen fiancé. Not one picture was taken!

They have not been able to visit each other since due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In May of 2020, our U.S. Citizen client decided to start the K-1 visa process to bring his fiancé to the U.S. He filed the I-129F on his own.

However, after he filed the I-129F, our government asked for proof that the couple met face-to-face in the last two years.

In January of 2021, they submitted some evidence to the USCIS.

In April of 2021, the USCIS denied his case becausethey were not convinced the couple did in fact meet.

In May of 2021, clients had a consultation with our firm about appealing the denial.

Our Lead Attorney had to think outside of the box to prove the legitimacy of this relationship since passport stampsboarding passes, and affidavits from friends were simply not enough

Our firm prepared the Form I-290B, Notice of Appeal or Motion.  We also drafted a very strong Memorandum and included text messages, Facebook check-ins, and cell phone locations.

In June of 2021, our team met the tight filing deadline, and just two months later, our client received an approval notice!

P.S. Success stories are based on real cases. However, each case is different, and past successes do not guarantee that all cases will have a similar result. Consult a licensed immigration lawyer to discuss your unique situation.
