Client with TPS from El Salvador is now a Legal Permanent Resident!

Our client last entered the United States when he was 17 years old.

He is from El Salvador, and he was able to get Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

However, TPS only gave him “temporary” protection, so he was looking to apply for permanent residency.

His US citizen wife was pregnant with their first child when they scheduled a consultation with us.

We met with them in June 2021.

At that time, they were just newly married and were not living together.

We encouraged them to gather plenty of evidence to document their relationship.

By the time we filed, they were only married for four months and lived together for two months.

We guided them to gather proof of their relationship that will undoubtedly convince USCIS that they have a bona fide relationship.

Since they just started living together, they did not have much together.

We submitted properly labeled photographs with their family and friends.

We presented their text messages to each other that showed their daily interactions.

We included evidence of their shared life that involved activities with each other and their loved ones.

When we were confident that we had a solid packet, we filed their case in October 2021.

Our client is from Houston, Texas where I-485 processing time is expected to be around 25 months.

Our client’s I-130 and I-485 applications were approved WITHOUT AN INTERVIEW in less than the average processing time.

He finally received his green card in the mail on April 27, 2023.

P.S. Every case is different. Past successes do not guarantee similar future outcomes. Consult a licensed immigration lawyer to discuss your unique situation.
