Client from Pakistan Receives Immigrant Visa after Expedited Consular Interview!

We are thrilled to share that the embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan has approved our client’s immigrant visa after an expedited interview process.

This remarkable outcome was achieved due to the petitioner’s medical condition, which warranted special attention and prompt action.

We shared our first victory in this case in our story Expedited Processing Approved In Difficult Marriage Case.

In our earlier story, we said “this case was very complex because of the couple’s unusual meetingdivorce historyproxy weddings, medical conditions and other issues.”

Our client received her notice of case creation from the National Visa Center (NVC) in November 2021 following an approved I-130 filed by her U.S. citizen spouse.

USCIS had approved our expedite request in the I-130 case as well!

The NVC plays a pivotal role in processing immigrant visa applications, ensuring that all required documentation is submitted and reviewed before scheduling an interview with the embassy or consulate.

In this case, our client entrusted us to guide them through the complex and meticulous NVC process.

The client’s affidavit of support, DS-260, and civil documents were submitted to the NVC in April 2022.

We became aware that our client’s husband, a disabled veteran, was admitted to the hospital for chest pains and spinal stenosis.

He lost his ability to walk, his condition got worse, and has been in and out of the hospital.

For these reasons, we sought assistance from the embassy, outlining the Petitioner’s medical circumstances, and requested an expedited interview.

In November 2022, the case was rendered documentarily qualified and our request for an expedited interview was approved.

We prepared the client for her immigrant visa interview.

On the day of the interview, the client’s home country declared an unexpected national holiday and her interview had to be rescheduled.

She was finally interviewed in February 2023.

After some time in administrative processing, our client finally received her immigrant visa on June 26, 2023!

The successful compliance with NVC requirements leading to our client’s documentarily qualified status, coupled with the expedited interview for urgent humanitarian reasons, marks a significant milestone in our immigration journey together.

Our client’s experience is a testament that compassionate considerations still work within the immigration system, and we are happy to be a part of this remarkable outcome.
